Name one thing that makes you wake up in the morning with a smile on your face.
I am having a pretty great life right now. I am healthy, doing well at school and at sports, have been accepted into several great colleges, and have supportive friends and family. The fact my family and I don’t have any serious life problems is definitely something to smile about.

What do you hope to accomplish as a member of the PacSun USASA Team?
I hope to progress my riding even further. Every time I get on snow, all I want to do is learn something new. With the support of PacSun, I will be able to travel and compete more, as well as be part of a respected network of athletes that I have admired for years. Being on a team with riders who I have looked up to for so long would drive me to become a better snowboarder than ever before.

Who inspires you to greatness? Why?
Obama is definitely the person who inspires me to greatness. I respect him for his courage to step up in a time when the country really needs someone. I support most of the changes he proposes, and have faith that he can help the country though any hard times that come. He is taking on challenges that most people would hide from, and I find his messages powerful and his actions inspirational. When I am afraid of something, I try to put it into perspective. Hitting a bigger jump is nothing compared to fixing a fearful nation.

When you need courage before a contest or photo shoot, who do you turn to? Why?
I turn to my coach Curtis Bradley. Curtis knows me and my abilities in snowboarding almost better than I do, and he has an incredible ability to make me confident in myself. I have a deep and profound respect for him both as a person and a coach. When he believes in me, I know he means it which helps me accomplish whatever goal I am trying to achieve. If I am not successful at first, he sticks with me through it all until I have that certain trick nailed. Curtis has helped me through the hardest of times, and I owe a significant part of my successes to him.
