I've been holding out for awhile on purchasing Rock Band on my iPhone just because it is a little pricier at $9.99 than what I usually spend at $2.99, but I figured what they hey I love Rock Band on my Wii lets see how it plays out on the iPhone.
When I first got into the app it started off just like Rock Band with the sounds and similar interface. I started off doing a couple of quickplays on the Guitar and Drums at an Easy level since it's been awhile since I've played Tap Tap Revenge to practice. I should also probably mention that I've been playing Rock Band at home on my Wii for hours for the past couple of days and playing this app was only adding more pain to my "Gamer's Thumb."
Quickplay was pretty cool, but here's where I think the value of the $9.99 comes in. The capability to play with other iPhone players around you that connect via Bluetooth or jump online and play with other players if you can connect to Wifi. The one downside I discovered while I had Danielle of "Dannie's Channel" do since she knows how to sing is, that you can't sing on the "Vocals" part like you can in the real game! You still have to tap to the beats! We were really hoping if we plugged in the headset and played on Vocals you could sing along not tap along.
So to answer the question in the video did I complete the song? The answer is NO, I didn't. Why??? Stupid Gamer's Thumb got the best of me! Major cramping going on in my right thumb. I know I should've sucked it up & finished it out, but Danielle kept laughing at me.
