Kids were lined up as early as 10am yesterday at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, CA for the anticipated “secret performance” from this year’s PacTour headlining band Saosin. This one-off performance was part of a larger listening party being held at PacSun stores across the country.

At 5pm, the day before it was available in stores, every PacSun store played Saosin’s new record "In Search of Solid Ground" from start to finish (as a side note the album is at #3 on iTunes today right behind Whitney Houston). We rewarded attendees with a raffle for a signed Saosin lithograph print as well as a download card directing kids to an exclusive virtual album. This “V-album” includes an exclusive PacSun track not available on the record, lyrics, a photo gallery, music videos and more.

Following a week of Twitter hints on @PacSun and @Saosin, the band played a great set to 350+ singing fans at Fashion Island who had waited all day in anticipation and were excited enough to stay two hours late for autographs. If the secret show is any indication of how PacTour is going to go this year, we are in for a treat.
